Community and East Bethel church family is grieving the death of their Pastor Rev. Ronald Mouton Sr., who was shot during a road rage incident on Friday. . “This is yet another incident of senseless, unnecessary violence that led to the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, pastor and iconic community Faith Church and president of NAACP Houston Branch. Surveillance images showed a suspect fleeing south on the Gulf Freeway in a black Honda Accord. No one has been apprehended in connection with the shooting.

Rep. Sheila Jackson, R-Texas, and Crime Stoppers of Houston have offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Mouton had served as the pastor at East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in MacGregor for 30 years. The East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church will hold its service for the pastor on July 9.
His twin brother, Roland Mouton, a pastor in Louisiana, made the final remarks at Wednesday’s gathering, directing them at the suspect. “We’re not looking for revenge, killer … But I think there is something we are owed, and that is justice,” Mouton said. “If you got a heart, if you got a conscience, ease our hurt and help us take away our anger and give us the justice we deserve.”
